What the texts are

Endurance Marine Diesel sends text messages to its customers about scheduled service on their boats: a message when a technician is on the way with the expected arrival time, and replies to a customer's questions about that visit. These are service messages, not advertising. They come from our texting line, 619-614-8150; the shop's main line is 619-552-2150.

How you consent

We text only customers who have agreed to it, and we keep a record of each agreement. You can opt in in any of these ways:

Online. Fill in the text updates form, which asks for your mobile number and has a consent box you tick yourself. The box is never pre-checked and never required: the form can be sent with it unticked, and then nothing is texted to you.

By phone or in person. When you book service, our staff ask: "We can text you when the technician is on the way and about your appointments. About one to three texts per visit, message and data rates may apply, reply STOP any time to cancel. It's optional — if you'd rather not, we'll call you instead and your service is exactly the same. Is that okay?" If you say yes, we turn on texting for your number in our scheduling system, Jobber. Numbers without that setting are never texted.

Texting is optional. Consent is never a condition of booking, receiving or paying for any service. A customer who declines texts gets exactly the same service and is reached by phone or email instead. Every message carries Reply STOP to opt out.

How often

Message frequency varies with your service schedule. A typical visit brings one to three messages. Message and data rates may apply.

How to stop

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts; it takes effect at once. You can also call the shop at 619-552-2150 and ask us to turn texting off for your account. Reply HELP for help at any time.

Privacy

We use your mobile number only to send the service messages described here. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Our messaging providers process your number solely to deliver these messages on our behalf.
